• Employed 10 years Baptist Hospital – Nashville, TN Intensive Care and Certified in Chemotherapy administration
• Dept. of Army nurse – Heidelberg, Germany
  Employed as a Labor and Delivery nurse
  Voted Nurse of the Year at the 130th Station Army Hospital – 1992
• Moved to Northern VA – 1993
  Continuous employment by Reston HCA Hospital as a Labor and Delivery Nurse since Feb 1994
• Twice Nominated for the prestigious HCA, DR. Thomas A. Frist award for outstanding service in nursing
• Certified as a Perinatal Nurse Specialist for the past 18 years
• Certified by the Academy of birth Educators since 1997
• Taught Child Birth Education classes and provided Labor & Delivery nursing care at Reston Hospital for the past 24 years
• Well over 12,000 expectant parents taught since 1994
• Proud parent of 5 children and very proud grandparent of 6 Grand children

 

Recently retired from Reston Hospital in 2018 and now teaches expectant families exclusively in partnership with the Reston YMCA and several local OBGYN and Pediatric practices!
